Final legal entity details, registered address, privacy contact, data-protection contact and jurisdiction are still to be confirmed.
Information we collect
- Account details such as email address, sign-in method and authentication information.
- Profile details you choose to provide, including display name, date of birth, gender, pronouns, orientation, bio, city, country, heritage, cultural background, values, relationship goals, interests and lifestyle details.
- Profile photos and optional verification selfies submitted for human review.
- Discovery, likes, matches, messages, reports, blocks and safety actions created while using JustUs.
- Notification preferences and browser push subscription details if you choose to enable push notifications.
Profile and account data
Your profile is used to create your dating experience, show you to compatible members and help other signed-in members understand whether they would like to connect.
Some profile fields are optional. You control what you add, but you should avoid sharing sensitive information you do not want other members to see.
Location data
JustUs uses location-related information to support distance preferences and discovery. Members can provide city and country details, and the product can use location data to calculate approximate distance where available.
Other members should see approximate distance only, not exact coordinates. The final public policy should confirm the exact source of location data before launch.
Matching and recommendation processing
Standard discovery uses profile details, member preferences, age, distance and block/report state to decide which profiles may appear.
AI Matchmaker uses profile and preference information to suggest possible compatibility and explain why two people may connect. AI assists member choice; it does not decide who you must like, match or meet.
AI recommendations may involve processing by an AI service provider. Final processor names, locations and contractual details require legal review before publication.
Safety and moderation
JustUs provides reporting, blocking, optional photo verification and human review tools for safety and community standards enforcement.
The current product should not be described as using automated age verification, automated fake-profile detection, facial recognition or automated content moderation unless those systems are later implemented and reviewed.
Retention and deletion
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain safety records, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. Final retention periods must be approved before this policy is published as final.
A self-service account deletion workflow is not currently live. Until an official privacy request channel is confirmed, deletion requests should be handled through the published support process once available and after identity checks.
Privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, object to or restrict use of your personal information.
You can edit many profile and preference details inside your account. Formal access, deletion and objection requests require a confirmed privacy contact and internal handling process before launch.
International use and adult-only service
JustUs is designed for the global Black diaspora and may be used across countries. International data-transfer language, processor lists and regional rights language require legal review.
JustUs is an adult-only dating service. Members must be 18 or older. Age is currently based on member-provided date of birth and reports, not automated age verification.
